All tourist activities suspended for Rajaji reserve in Uttarakhand

The Rajaji Tiger Reserve has a fragile biodiversity which can be damaged by the tourist activities.

A recent announcement was made by the forest department of the state of Uttarakhand. As per the announcement, all tourist activities will be suspended until further notice. The tiger reserve is a habitat for the critically endangered species of tigers. The Rajaji Tiger Reserve was recently opened on 3rd September and now it is closing again.

As per the officials, tourism activities will damage the fragile biodiversity of the national park. Since this area is critical for the habitat of the tigers, tourism activities can disturb the ecology of the area. Several areas of the nation have been closed now for tourists. There is no clear indication on whether the tourists will be allowed in the future or not.
