Arunachal Pradesh is now open for tourism

The issuing of the essential travel Permits will start again.

To revive tourism businesses, the state government of Arunachal Pradesh has decided to open tourism activities. However, tourists who have been fully vaccinated will be allowed to enter the state borders. Full vaccination would mean 2 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine should be administered to the person.

During the pandemic, the state government also stopped issuing the required permits for tourists. There are some necessary permits required by = tourists to travel in certain areas. The issuing of the permits will restart again. The permits include ILP (Inner Line Permit), Restricted Area Permit, and the Protected Area Permit. Now, tourists can acquire these permits before traveling to certain areas of Arunachal Pradesh.

There has been a strong push to restart tourism considering the upcoming festive season. During these months, a huge tourist influx is expected. Also, the winter tourism season is just around the corner and the preparations have already begun to establish the right conditions for traveling.

The administrative officials have informed tourists to maintain Covid-appropriate-behavior during their stay in the popular destination. Following is the detailed report from ‘Times of India’.
