Barot is an off-beat destination which is quite popular among the young travellers.

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Mr. Jai Ram Thakur recently held a meeting with several officials from Barot and Multhan to inaugurate several developmental projects. Recently in Himachal,  several initiatives have been taken to boost tourism activities after the slowdown due to the Covid pandemic.

Barot is an offbeat destination that is quite popular among young travelers. It is located in the district of Mandi. On the other hand, the Multhan is situated in the Kangra district. Multhan is a lesser-known destination for tourists. Both these destinations are blessed with the natural beauty that is one of their best features.

In a public announcement, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh declared significant funds to develop the necessary infrastructure to help boost tourism activities. These new projects will create job opportunities for the locals and generate much-needed tourism revenue.

On a different note, the Omicron variant has halted international tourism again. With the new cases being reported recently, there is a possibility of another lockdown period. Despite the current scenario, it is quite evident that the tourism sector will have to bear another period of slowdown in terms of the tourism economy.
