COVID-negative report required even for the fully-vaccinated tourists entering Goa

The curfew restrictions are still being imposed in Goa with shops with only essential services being allowed to open.

The recent announcement made by the Goa government states that a Covid-negative certificate will be required even if the tourist has been fully vaccinated. On the other hand, the high court has said that no need for a Covid-negative certificate for the people who are residents of Goa or for the people traveling for business purposes.

Goa government has previously announced that the tourism in Goa will only resume once the full vaccination is done for the Goan residents and the tourists are fully vaccinated. The Chief Minister of Goa stressed upon the fact that the spread of the Covid needs to be controlled to keep the residents safe.

Also, the tourism businesses are working hard to resume their business activities after the monsoons and are expecting a large number of tourists visiting Goa later this year. To make this happen, the proper plan is needed so the tourism industry is not affected due to the spread of new infections.

According to the government officials, all tourists visiting Goa will have to present a negative Covid test report upon arrival. And no person without the test report will be allowed to enter. As of now, Goa is doing a great job at keeping the infections out of its borders while increasing the vaccination drive for its residents.

Curfew restrictions in Goa are still in place and essential shops are allowed to open. Other than that, the movement of traffic and people are monitored and controlled during the nighttime. The Chief Minister of Goa has earlier announced that the restrictions will be lifted only when the positivity rate will drop further than the current 5%.
