Domestic tourists with E-passes now allowed in Himachal Pradesh

People need to register themselves online before entering Himachal borders.

The state government of Himachal Pradesh announced that all district and state borders will open for the domestic tourists. This will help give a boost to the domestic tourism that needed help in its revival. People will have to register themselves online before traveling to Himachal.

The state government is preparing a new SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) with revised safety guidelines for all tourism businesses. Also, all Inter-State transport will be monitored and the use of contact tracing app will be used to detect the spread of COVID.

Passengers will be able to travel after getting E-pass and home quarantined measures will be taken for those entering from the areas which have a high number of COVID cases.

All inter-state transport has been allowed along with public bus transport. Restaurants can now operate throughout the day with 60% capacity. All entries of the migrant labor force have also been allowed.

With this announcement, many businesses are enthusiastic about the possibility of revival of the tourism industry. There is also a fear of an increase in the number of new COVID cases. The rise in the number of new cases is expected with the increasing number of people entering the state.
