Entire adult population of Khajuraho has been vaccinated

State government is expecting to revive tourism after fully vaccinating the entire population of the state.

According to the recent data, the city of Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh is fully vaccinated. The adult population of Khajuraho includes all people above the age of 18 years who have received the full vaccine doses. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh is optimistic for the tourism activities to recover because of the Covid numbers being extremely low in the state.

The temples of Khajuraho are one of the most prominent tourist destinations and it has been declared as a UNESCO Heritage Site. These temples attract thousands of tourists every year from all over the world. Since the beginning of the lockdown period, the tourism of Madhya Pradesh has suffered greatly with reduced revenue from tourists.

With the strict Covid restrictions for the incoming tourists and full vaccination of the population of the state of Madhya Pradesh, the state government is expecting to revive the tourism economy. Other states like Goa and Rajasthan are also preparing for the upcoming winter season when most of the travelers travel to Goa, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and other destinations with a hotter climate.

The travel guidelines are being reviewed every month after considering the severity of the Covid risk for the tourists. International flights are still banned and the threat of the third wave in the coming months is also making the tourism situation more unstable.

By the month of October, tourists are expected to travel to Khajuraho and other destinations in the state of Madhya Pradesh. If the third wave of Covid turns out to be less severe than the 2nd wave, then the tourism industry of India is expected to jump back on its feet.
