Goa is open for tourism with new guidelines for tourists

A negative Covid test report or vaccination certification required for all incoming tourists.

After being closed for several months now, Goa has now officially opened for tourists. This decision was taken by the state government of Goa to boost the local economy. Almost all businesses in Goa are somehow connected to tourism which requires tourist activities for its revival.

New Covid-19 guidelines have been announced for the tourists. One of the main guidelines is the requirement of a negative RT-PCR test for all incoming tourists. Tourists can also show their vaccination certificates if they have been vaccinated. Also, all tourists have been urged to wear masks while in Goa.

According to the Goa government, these guidelines will have to be observed strictly. Further relaxations in the Covid restrictions will be given in the coming weeks. Goa will eventually open up in a phased manner. As of now, the curfew lockdown has been extended until 16th August.

Restaurants and cafés are allowed to open but Casinos are still closed. The positivity rate has been steady and no spike has been observed in the new cases of Covid. The following news report by India Times reports in detail about the new guidelines for the tourists.
