Government planning to promote traditional crafts of Himachal Pradesh

Many tourism projects related to sports, infrastructure, arts are in progress.

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Mr. Jai Ram Thakur directed the Tourism Department to complete all the pending tourism projects. The Chief Minister told the Tourism officials to make Himachal Pradesh a popular tourist destination.

Among the projects, a convention center in the district of Solan is planned. A Village market of Crafts in Kangra, a rock climbing center in Manali, Art & Craft Centre of Chamba. Paragliding Centre in Bir and Light & Sound show in Shimla. All these projects are in the process of completion. Many other projects related to sports are being completed.

Careful planning is being done in order to ensure the health and safety of tourists. The Chief Minister has said that there will be strict safety guidelines for COVID. The government also planned an extensive training for all the hospitality sector workers, tourism business owners, and their staff.

The extensive planning for these projects is mostly for the implementation of the new health and safety protocols. By the next year’s tourist season, some of the tourism projects might get completed. Most of the projects will help the locals sell their art and sustain themselves.
