Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall Expected in Himachal Pradesh Over Next Two Days, says IMD

Red Alert has been issued by the IMD

IMD issued a red alert for heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh for the next two days. Shimla was hit hard with problems like waterlogging, landslides, and uprooted trees.

Rainfall: 190 mm in 24 hours, 60 mm in one hour. Locals fear landslides and safety risks. Himachal declared ‘natural calamity affected area’; losses: Rs 8014.61 crore, 224 lives lost, 113 landslides this monsoon.
