India about to start mixing different vaccines for better immune response

Eight different vaccines are currently under review for the mixing trials.

India is soon starting the tests to increase the safety and effectiveness of the Covid vaccine by mixing two different vaccines. The vaccines that are being prepared for mixing include eight different vaccines that are available. The tests to mix the vaccine will begin in few weeks.

Presently, the approved vaccines in India are Covishield from AstraZeneca, Russian Sputnik V, and Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin. These are the vaccines that will be included in the mixing test. The other vaccines that are going through the trials are Covovax from Serum Institute, Corbevax from Biological E, Zycov from Zydus Cadila, a vaccine from Gennova, and Johnson and Johnson’s vaccine.

The idea behind the mixing of these vaccines is to increase the protection from Covid-19 by increasing the immune response. This will help mitigate the spread of the Covid-19. In a few week’s, time it will know if these mixing trials are worth the time and money. As of now, there is no concrete data that suggests that the mixing of vaccines is going to provide a greater immune response.

These tests will be conducted in collaboration with the Indian Government’s health council called ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research). The council will be responsible for studying the effects of the vaccines after they are mixed. The council will also decide on when and how the vaccine doses will be administered.
