India ready to implement its fourth lockdown procedure with new guidelines

Yesterday, the Prime Minister of India announced that after May 17, another phase of the lockdown would start. However, every state of India will implement this lockdown with ease in the restrictions. This easing of restriction will help the economy to move. Also, every state will have to decide its own guidelines according to the severity of the Coronavirus spread. These new guidelines will be announced by May 15.

The Prime Minister said that the fourth phase of lockdown will be different than the previous lockdowns. That means new rules will be implemented along with the ease of restrictions. However, it is to be seen how each state will have its own version of lockdown procedures.

Prime Minister said that the COVID-19 will be part of our lives for a long time and we have to live with it. He emphasized on the importance of wearing masks and keeping the social distancing as much as possible.

Recently, the trains have been allowed to resume their services. The domestic aviation services are preparing to start their flights as well. Also, online delivery services will also resume. However, the strict restrictions of curfew and halting of public transport will be applied for the areas designated as ‘Red Zones’.

Apart, from the ease of the restrictions, Prime Minister also announced the economic relief package of $266 billion to revive the stalled Indian economy.
