Kangra administration in Himachal Pradesh bans trekking on destinations higher than 3000 meters

This decision was taken after considering the recent natural disasters which claimed several lives.

The District Magistrate of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh has issued an order which bans all trekking activities for the routes that are located above 3000 meters. This decision was taken after the recent disasters and tragedies that have claimed the lives of many trekkers. The recent landslides and heavy snowfall has created conditions that are dangerous for the trekkers.

The weather conditions in several regions of Himachal and Uttarakhand have become quite severe. Considering the dangers, the decision to ban extreme trekking activities has been taken. The region of Kinnaur has seen excessive damage done due to the recent natural disasters.
