Kaziranga, Manas and Orang National park in Assam to reopen

Covid protocols and guidelines have been announced for the tourists.

The Orang National Park (ONP) is one of the popular tourist destinations in Assam.  As per the initiative to revive tourism in Assam, Orang and Kaziranga national parks are reopening. The Orang National Park will open today for tourists and Kaziranga National Park is scheduled to be opened tomorrow.

The Covid protocols are in place and tourists are expected to follow the guidelines. Due to the recent floods and bad road conditions, the tourists flow had gotten slow. But the roads are being restored and the upcoming winter months are expected to revive the tourism businesses in Assam.

The Manas National Park is also scheduled to open from 1st October. This is another popular national park that attracts tourists from all over India. Tourist activities such as Jeep Safaris will continue as usual along with the famous elephant rides. Certain sections of the national parks will be closed and only a limited number of tourists will be allowed to maintain social distancing. The exact details about the rules will be announced in the coming week.
