Landslides in Himachal Pradesh blocked all major highways

Today 9 tourists were killed by the landslide that happened in Kinnaur.

In the past few weeks, heavy rainfall has caused a lot of damage to the life and property of people in Himachal Pradesh. In the past few days, there has been news of flash floods and landslides occurring in various parts of Himachal Pradesh.

A recent flash flooding in Bhagsunag, Dharamshala has caused panic among the residents of Dharamshala. Due to the floods, many vehicles, houses, and lives have been lost. The government has already announced alerts regarding the upcoming bad weather conditions. Tourists have been notified that visiting Himachal Pradesh is dangerous during the monsoons.

In the last few days, the districts of Kinnaur, Lahaul Spiti, and Sirmaur have seen many landslides and heavy rainfall. Due to the falling debris damage has been caused to the vehicles and roads. All the main highways have been blocked due to the falling debris and landslides.

A recent incident was reported nine tourists getting killed by a boulder that crushed their vehicle. The weather conditions are going to be severe in the upcoming days and huge traffic jams are reported on all major highways leading to Himachal.

There are hundreds of tourists that are trying to go back home and cannot do that because of the massive traffic jams. The following YouTube video was posted today from the channel called ‘Random Videos’. It shows the damage the landslide in Kinnaur caused.
