Medical professor talks about the implications of the Covid third wave

Experts say that to prevent the severity of Covid effects, vaccination is necessary.

The professor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Mr. Neeraj Nischal gave some of the factors that can help understand the nature of the third wave of Covid-19. According to Mr. Nischal, there are two major factors, one is related to the people and the other one is related to the Covid-19 virus.

According to Mr. Nischal, the mutation of the Covid virus is beyond our control. This is something that cannot be stopped. However, as far as the waves are concerned, a proper Covid-appropriate behavior can stop the waves from surging.

Mr. Neeraj Nischal said that the vaccination will prevent a person from getting severe reactions to the Covid virus. Recently, there have been several experts warning about the new third wave which could prove deadly compared to the previous second wave.

The health officials and experts have been talking about the preparations needed for the upcoming third wave. The director of AIIMS, Mr. Randeep Guleria said that the third wave of Covid-19 can strike in the next 6-8 weeks if the appropriate behavior is not observed.

With increasing ‘Vaccine Hesitancy’, the experts have said without the vaccination, the severity of the third wave cannot be reduced. The government of India is also working hard towards mass vaccination of people despite people expressing the adverse effects of the vaccines that have been making waves on Social Media.
