Mussoorie is now open to tourists only on weekends

The lockdown restrictions has been extended in Uttarakhand till September 21.

The state government of Uttarakhand has recently announced that the popular tourist destination of Mussoorie will only be open for tourists during the weekends. This decision was taken after the number of Covid-cases increased in the state.

The Uttarakhand government also announced that the lockdown restrictions will be extended till 21st September. One of the requirements from the tourists is the RT-PCR test report before traveling. Also, all travelers will have to register themselves online before they start their journey. Fully vaccinated tourists will be allowed to travel freely.

Certain tourists areas are also closed for tourists in some areas. Social distancing measures are in place and tourists are advised to wear masks at all times. It is possible the restrictions will get relaxed after a certain period of time. Since there has been a major decline in the Covid numbers, some tourist areas are still trying to become Covid-free.
