People vaccinated with Covishield vaccine report a rare form of hepatitis condition

Previously 'autoimmune hepatitis' was considered extremely rare in the vaccinated individuals.

The Covid vaccines are known to create minor side effects such as fever and headaches etc. However, there have been many cases throughout the world where the patients have reported some serious side effects after getting a Covid vaccine.

A recent study done in India has claimed that the Covishield vaccine has serious side effects in the form of autoimmune hepatitis and thromboembolic events. This study was presented by the following institutions.

– Institute of Liver Disease and Transplantation
– Bharath Institute of Higher education and Research
– Dr. Rela Institute and Medical Centre

These institutes have published their study and created a detailed report of AIH (Autoimmune Hepatitis) inducing effects after vaccination. Previously, these side effects were known to be extremely rare. After the study, it seems that the condition is not that rare.

In the report, there were 2 cases mentioned where an individual died due to liver disease and the other one could not recover after the covid symptoms. This the first report on Covishield related side effects.

Covishield has been the major vaccine that is being administered to the Indian population. The study shows a correlation of vaccines to the ‘autoimmune hepatitis’ conditions. The side-effects and conditions caused by the vaccines are the main reason why the ‘Vaccine-hesitancy’ has increased in India and other parts of the world.

The following article from New Indian Express details the findings of the report submitted for the effects induced by the Covishield vaccine.
