Price of the RT-PCR test for foreign tourists in Goa has been fixed at 3200 rupees

Foreign tourists are expected to start arriving in Goa from 15th November.

According to the state government decision, the cost of the RT-PCR test has been capped at 3200 rupees. As per the government officials, all tourists visiting India should get this test done upon arrival in the state of Goa. The RT-PCR test will determine if tourists are infected with the Covid-19 virus. This is a mandatory protocol that will have to be followed by all international tourists.

Goa is expecting international tourists starting from 15th November next month. With the charter flights already starting, the tour operators are preparing the popular destinations for the tourists. While the other destinations in North India are still recovering from bad weather conditions, Goa is experiencing pleasant weather which is ideal for a vacation.

After more than 18 months of the closure of the tourist activities, the Goa Tourism ministry has decided to allow domestic and international tourists without many travel restrictions. However, the airport and seaports will be conducting thermal scanning and basic Covid testing for the tourists arriving in Goa.

For domestic tourists, the protocol for getting an RT-PCR test at least 72 hours before traveling is already in place. It has also been observed that there has been a drastic increase in the number of domestic tourists traveling to Goa. If the Covid-situation stays good, then overcrowding of all popular beaches and tourist destinations can be expected.

Following is the official news report from the ‘Hindustan Times’ about the recent announcement made by the government officials regarding the mandatory requirement of the RT-PCR tests from foreign tourists.
