The total number of COVID-19 cases in Himachal reached 58 after 6 new patients were reported. The new cases appeared because of the fact that people belonging to Himachal returned home with infection.

The patients belong to Kangra and Bilaspur district. Among them are two drivers who were headed towards Baijnath and Mandi district. Another 19-year-old girl is currently quarantined in Tanda medical college. She got infected after her brother who returned from Delhi.

Another 3 cases were reported from the Chamba district. It is known that these three people came in contact with a truck driver from an area called Baddi.

Currently, there is no way to know how many people got infected as a result of Himachal residents returning back to their state. It seems that people in the villages would not come forward on their own to report cases. It is feared that the community spread has started in Himachal.

The total active cases under quarantine are now 17 for the state of Himachal Pradesh.
