Snowfall & rain expected again to return in Himachal Pradesh

The upcoming snowfall and rainfall is expected to be the last phase of the winter wave in Himachal Pradesh.

MANALI: The weather in Himachal Pradesh currently is dreamy as well as ferocious. And the recent predictions suggest that the weather is not calming down anytime soon. As a fresh wave of western disturbance is hitting the state from Sunday, more snow in the next few days is expected in the mid and high hills of Himachal.

As per the statement released by the meteorological department, there is no high alert but low temperatures will continue to keep the people indoors. A western disturbance will hit Himachal on Sunday. While, from Tuesday onwards, another WD will bring the clouds to the state. These parts are likely to experience snowfall and rain from Sunday.

The temperatures in the night for Lahaul-Spiti, Shimla, Chamba, Mandi, and Kinnaur have reached below the freezing point. Keylong in the Lahaul-Spiti district recorded the minimum temperature of minus 13.1 degrees C during the last 24 hours. The temperature is below minus 20 degrees C at Kibber, Hikkim, Langza, Komic, Losar, Kaza, and many other parts of the Lahaul-Spiti district.

The dense fog has become a problem in the lower parts of the state with extremely cold and freezing nights.
