The festival called ‘Hirakud Mahotsav’ to be held in Odisha

To revive the tourism sector, the state government of Odisha has planned a cultural festival at the river banks of Mahanadi near Hirakud Dam. This festival is planned to be held in February next year. The ‘Hirakud Mahotsav’ will be a 3-day-long festival.

The main intent of organizing this festival is to promote the unique culture of the state of Odisha. The festival will promote the art, music, dance, crafts, and traditions of Odisha. Blessed with the beautiful natural beauty, Odisha is one of the most underrated tourist destinations in India.

With the festival approaching the local businesses have started preparing to receive tourists from all over the world. With the start of international tourism, an additional boost will be provided to the tourism industry of Odisha. Many Eco-tourism initiatives have also been planned to make tourism environmentally sustainable.
