The Indian Ministry of Tourism hosted another webinar on the Ayurvedic Foods and Spices

The latest webinar released from the Ministry of Tourism emphasized on the significance of the Ayurvedic medicine and the foods and spices mentioned in the ancient texts.

This webinar is a part of the series called ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ which the Tourism Ministry started after the lockdown. It was started to help people understand India and its cultural diversity while they are stuck at home during the lockdown.

The webinar episode is called ‘Vedic Food and Spices of India’ which highlighted the benefits of Ayurveda and specific foods and spices that promote overall health. In the episode, many misconceptions about certain Vedic foods were cleared. It also showed the many methods of preparing healthy food using the right spices. This was the 37th episode in the series of Dekho Apna Desh.

Many minute details were revealed in regards to the use of Oils and the right kind of cookware etc. The ayurvedic concepts of 3 Doshas such as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha were discussed as well. According to Ayurveda, each person has a dominant dosha which governs his overall mental and physical state. Many experts in the field of Vedic medicine also shared their knowledge in regards to the use of herbs and spices.
