Tourists can visit Taj Mahal for free for 3 days starting 27th February

This move will most likely boost the tourist activities in Agra.

A recent announcement was made by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in which it was decided that entry to the Taj Mahal will be free for 3 days. Tourists will be allowed in for free starting 27th February. This decision was taken to promote the tourism destinations of Agra. February 27th till March 1 will be the dates when tourists can get free entry to the Taj Mahal’s premises.

These 3 days also represent the Urs of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan during which the Taj Mahal will be made open to the tourists. During these 3 days, the security arrangements have been made. Also, Covid-appropriate-behavior is expected from all visiting tourists.

It is expected that the number of visiting tourists will increase in these 3 days. Almost all tourist destinations throughout India are opening up to tourists. With more and more tourism projects being introduced, the tourism businesses are expecting to recover during the next few months.
