An initiative was taken by the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra corridor to improve connectivity between the two locations made this possible. The contribution of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will also make things easier for travelers and drastically reduce travel time.

Bahadurgarh border in Delhi will be connected with Katra via Nakodar and Gurdaspur in Punjab. As per fresh reports, this will be done under a 670 km greenfield expressway project.
